BOOKING SYSTEM WILL GO INTO EFFECT ON DEC 01, 2020

The new Alberta private registry booking system will go into effect on Dec 01, 2020. This will allow Albertans to book road tests for classes 4, 5, and 6 directly with their registry agent. The first actual road tests under this new and improved system will commence on Jan 06, 2021.

Please return to our website on or after Dec 01, 2020 to book a road test for classes 4, 5, and 6. On Dec 01, 2020, this information page will be replaced with live access to the new booking system. 

Appointments for road tests commencing on Jan 06, 2021 and onward are brand new bookings. At this point, the calendar is wide open. However, appointments for the January calendar cannot be made until Dec 01, 2020 or after. 

If you have an outstanding unused test permit, the government will be cancelling all road testing after Dec 19, 2020 and you will be reimbursed the permit fee.

Road tests for commercial classes 1, 2, and 3 will be continued to be handled by Alberta Transportation. 

For additional details or to book a commercial road test, go to the following website. Prior to Dec 01, 2020, you can also go to this site to look for an open appointment for classes 4, 5, and 6. However, there are very few, if any, appointments available. In preparation for the new road-testing system on Jan 6, 2021, the government has suspended all testing for classes 4, 5, and 6 after Dec 19, 2020.
